The rescue sled is an improvement in greater
safety for both the rescuer and the rescued.
Quicker rescue - time is important. Less effort demanding for the rescuer. No effort demands on incapacitated victim. Sled traverses water or ice or even the beach. Smaller beach crew requirements
In this training exercise, without entering the water himself, the rescuer (in red) has retrieved the victim (in yellow) from the water and loaded him onto the rescue sled. The sled is being pulled to the beach by one or more persons.
